I am perfect for this role because: I have a lot of Housing Management Experience especially working with young people in their own accommodation. I am a qualified Social Worker and so I have good problem solving skills and im always ready to offer a listening ear.
The thing I enjoy the most is: how every day is different, throwing up new challenges and I enjoy meeting such a diverse range of students and families from very different cultures and backgrounds – in general I love my role here at Roman House.
The nerdiest thing I do in my spare time is: attend air shows – I love the old World War 2 war birds, the noise, the smell of the fuel and the sheer exhileration of knowing what their presence in the air did.

My main duties include: ensuring that all tenants have an on-site presence that they can come and speak to in person with any suggestions or concerns they may have. I am here for both the wellbeing of the tenants and also to ensure that the building is fully operational on a day-to-day basis.
I am perfect for this role because: my previous background has been in the private rental sector, specialising in student lets with over 7 years’ experience. From this experience I know what students want and don’t want and know that for a lot of them this may be their first time living away from home and it is important to help them with this transition. Also I was (no so long ago) in their position so can take into account their views and always open to suggestions of what ways we can further improve their University living experience.
The thing I enjoy the most is: meeting the residents and seeing how they enjoy living at Botanic Studios. There are a wide variety of different nationalities that live at Botanic Studios and it is always nice to learn about their cultures and vice versa along with helping them pick up some up some Belfast slang and have the ‘craic’ with them.
I am at my happiest when: travelling! I love travelling and meeting new people. Having a cold beer watching a sunset in a new country/continent with either a friend or a new acquaintance is hard to top. Darwin in Australia has been the best so far…
