Other Exchange Programmes
Coming to the UK as a foreign exchange student will make you stand out from the rest; it can really help with your self- confidence and improve employment prospects. Exchange programmes can really broaden perspectives in terms of cultural perspectives, language skills, and even food!
There are plenty of universities in the UK that can also undertake an international exchange programme with a partner outside the EU. If you take a look on your chosen university’s website, you’ll more than likely be able to find a handy list of international partners.
Take University College Birmingham for example, they have partner universities in Thailand, the USA, Malaysia and Australia with a similar style to Erasmus but without the funding from the EU. These exchange opportunities are targeted at degree and foundation level, in the first semester of second year studies.
EF Exchange Programmes are fantastic for university prep too, lasting for around 6/9 months, those who take part can gain admission to a university in an English-speaking country. You’ll be able to gain the skills required for higher education, whether that’s a University Foundation Year or a Fast-track Business Degree programme.
