The Bullring & Grand Central has been the city’s historic market centre since 1166. It has over 160 shops across three level. The bottom floor is one huge food hall, and the other floors have a massive selection of clothes shops. Perfect for student shopping!

On university campus there are plenty of options for food, drinks and snacks. And the city centre has more than 300 restaurants, cafes and bars in the city alone – plus hundreds more serving dozens of different world cuisines.
Events & nightlife
Birmingham is the youngest city in Europe, with under-25s accounting for nearly 40% of its population. Needless to say, Birmingham is great for a student night out!
